For Shine and Volume: Beer Rinse

Apply 1-2 times a month for clarifying.

– At the end of a shower after you have shampooed and conditioned your hair, crack open a beer and pour over your hair from roots to ends. No fancy beers are needed but you will want to use a regular beer NOT light.

– Let the rinse sit for 3-4 minutes

– Rinse hair with ice cold water for intense volume and shine. The cold water locks in moisture.

– If the smell of beer bothers you, simply add a conditioner to you hair or not.

FYI: Beer contains malt and hops which are full of protein that can strengthen hair cuticles. The cuticle is basically a layer of dead cells wrapped in a shingle-like circle around the outside of the hair shaft. Styling damages the cuticle causing breaking and hair that looks frazzled.

For Strength: Egg-cellent Beauty

– Grab an egg (or two depending on your hair length)

– Separate the yolk from the white.

– Lather the yolk into your hair

– Let sit for 15-20 minutes

– Rinse out

Egg yolk contains fats and proteins that strengthens and softens hair and makes for a natural sheen.

Use the egg white as a facemask. Spread it on and let sit for 15 minutes. The egg white will harden and tighten your skin. That way you get beauty benefits from the whole egg!

For Damaged Hair: May-Oh-my

– Put two spoonfulls of Mayonaise into your hair

– Let sit for 20 minutes

– Rinse out

This is a simple trick but works wonders. You don’t need to add any other ingredients due to the amount of oil hat is in mayo. This will make your hair shiny and smooth. It also helps with damaged hair

For a Fresh Shine: Silky Greens

– Grab I/2 avocado

– Mix it in with 1 tsp honey

– Add two tablespoons of milk

– Mix and add into hair

– Let sit for 20 minutes

– Rinse out

The avocadoes and milk have good fats that will soothe your hair and the honey will add sheen.

Do one of these a week and you will reap the glorious benefits! Happy hair treating!
